ACCELERATION PERFORMANCE RIDING SCHOOLS

In conjunction with the AMRA, Acceleration Riding School under former National Sport bike Champion  Clint McBain is pleased to announce four Performance Riding courses being offered throughout the 2005 Race season exclusive to AMRA members. These sessions will be run on the Monday evening Test & Tunes commencing spring 2005. Each course will cover fundamental skills and theory behind the most important aspects of motorcycle riding. These skills are the foundation on which you’ll build and develop techniques  to become a confident and successful rider. Whether your goals are to take the checked flag at the next race or simply to ride the streets with greater control and composure, these courses are your first steps towards achieving your objectives. Each course will focus on specific skills. The list below outlines the dates for each course as well as the topics to be covered. You are invited to attend any or all sessions listed below. Skills will be taught and practiced on the mini road racing bikes providing an excellent learning environment that is safe but still highly responsive. The concepts you learn here will improve your riding ability in any situation or any on size of motorcycle.

Outline - Course # 1

In the first lesson we will concentrate on cornering techniques and steering with a brief review on proper throttle control. Riding well, whether at the track or on the street, requires respect and understanding of  the relationship between rider and bike.

1. Do you know what an Apex is or how to find it?

2.When does the corner exit start?

3.When and how do you turn into a corner?

4.   Are all corners created equal?

5.What kind of “feel” should you have when steering in or cornering?

We’ll look at these questions and many more on the track in the spring of 2005 The track opens at 5:00pm Monday's with lessons running from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Hope to see you all there.
