2006 Final Event
The final regional round is on this next Sunday (Oct 15) with heat races until 2pm followed by the 3 hr endurance in the afternoon. Please organise your teams now and pre book them with Berna - call 640-2849 or amra@shaw.ca
CMA Referee Course
Now that we have a committed volunteer team, we have arranged a CMA referee course on Saturday October 28 10am at the Austrian Club 3112 11 Street NE. All club members are encouraged to attend. To ensure adequate materials and seating you must prebook with Berna - call call 640-2849 or amra@shaw.ca
Year End Party - October 29
Door prizes needed for the year end party; Robert Vose has challenged all club members to come up with as much as he has already, 400 bucks worth so far.
Annual General Meeting
The AGM date will be held in November: date and time to be confirmed. You are encouraged to attend.
Executive Nominations
The Executive election will be held at the AGM. Jay Fox is seeking re-election as President; Phil Gaze is seeking re-election as Treasurer. Nominations are being accepted for Vice President - please forward them to Berna.
2007 Program
The Executive has been working hard on getting the 2007 season organised well ahead so that you can plan your years schedule. The 2007 Test & Tune and Race schedule is already complete and with the Kart clubs executive for final approval .
For 2007 we have booked 15 test and tune evenings - every Wednesday from the end of April to the end of August - and 13 race events with Sunday racing approximately every two weeks, plus the (5) race Western series. We will have all this confirmed by the end of October.
The machine class and race class structure is being streamlined so that every member will have at least 3 races plus a qualifying race every race day.
Test and Tunes will be run to a defined schedule to avoid the past frustrations.
All four clubs are presently working on 2007 rule book revisions and the Western Series dates.
The Executive is also actively seeking a major sponsor for the (5) race series.
2007 January Indoor Show
The plans for the Indoor Shows are in the works and will be similar to 2006. More news to follow as we get closer.
